Pricing questions
How much does document translation cost?
Choose a prepaid credit pack below. After selecting a document, you will see its exact credit requirement before starting. Each file in a batch is quoted separately, based on its source word count. Choosing another download format does not add a charge.
What can I translate for free?
Translate one document per UTC day without an account, subject to availability. Free and paid files share the same limits: 25 MB, 50,000 source words, 400,000 extracted characters, and 100 pages for text-based PDFs. The allowance resets at midnight UTC.
When will I be charged?
Choosing a file and reviewing its price does not use credits. When you press Translate, the quoted credits are reserved so they cannot be spent twice. They are used when the translation is ready. Failed or cancelled unfinished translations release the reservation.
What if translation fails or I cancel?
Failed or cancelled unfinished translations use no credits. Their reserved credits are released. Deleting a completed translation does not reverse its charge.
Do downloads use more credits?
Download the completed translation in its original format or choose another export. Re-exporting and retrying a download do not translate the document again or use more credits.
Do credits expire?
Purchased credits and eligible bonus credits do not expire. There is no subscription or automatic refill.
Can I get another free translation?
Yes. Create an eligible new account with a verified email or supported sign-in provider to receive one extra free translation. This is a one-time signup offer with the same file limits as paid translations. Username-only accounts share the daily allowance and do not receive the signup offer.
How long can I download my documents?
The download deadline is one hour after the translation finishes. The result displays its exact available-until time. Keep the original file: after a page reload, reselecting that same file lets you rebuild an unexpired download without another charge.
Can I use the API?
API translations use your account’s prepaid credits and do not use the free website allowance. The same source-word pricing applies. API documentation
Can I get a refund?
For a billing or translation problem, contact support with your payment reference. Refund requests are reviewed individually. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method. support@document-translator.com
